A Valentine’s Reflection & Release for the Single-Hearted

Seen, Not Chosen is a faith-inspired candle-making experience created for individuals navigating singleness, recent breakups, or moments of questioning their worth, especially during Valentine’s season.

This gathering is rooted in the biblical story of Hagar and the name she gives God, El Roi , “The God Who Sees Me.” Through guided reflection, gentle conversation, and intentional candle-making, we’ll create space to acknowledge what has been felt, release the pressure to be chosen, and reconnect with the truth that we are still deeply seen.

While this experience is faith-based, it is open and welcoming to all who resonate with the theme of reflection, healing, and self-worth. You do not need to belong to a specific faith tradition to attend—only a willingness to engage thoughtfully and respectfully.

What to Expect

• A guided candle-making experience using aromatherapy-inspired essential oils
• Creation of a 10-oz hand-poured candle to take home
• Reflective prompts and light facilitation inspired by scripture
• A calm, supportive environment centered on intention, release, and renewal

This is not a couples event. It is not therapy. It is a thoughtfully curated space to pause, create, and honor yourself in community.
